Asking winemaker Emma Garner for the make up of the blend this year she told me that it's mainly Triangle vineyard fruit followed by wood post then steel post ... this explains why I like this wine so much - the '11 Triangle is amazing and any wine that uses it for the base is bound to be, at the very least, good. The nose delivers a mix of Mac and Delicious apple with lots of lime and mineral notes backing it up. The palate proves to be very zippy and zingy with its acidity - but get past that and lemon peel, green apple and peach pit also appear. Price: $18.00 - Rating: *** 1/2+
