There's two reasons I've mostly dug the Red Paw Pinot over the Black Paw from Coyote's Run. 1) I love the femininity of this wine, and 2) it's cheaper ... but seriously, it's that feminine quality and character that really gives it it's elegance. Perfumed aromas of violet, floral, sweet raspberry, cranberry cocktail and gentle spice. The palate is where the femininity shows, caressing the tongue in a sexy and smooth way, but still maintaining a spiciness of fruit flavour: cranberry, sour cherry and strawberry. The real kicker is the spiced-berries with white pepper on the long finish ... this one's quaffably good in an elegant sort of way. Price: $24.95 - Rating: ****+
