With less Black Paw Pinot (1.5 acres total) and lower yield the Black Paw Pinot Noir is usually the pricier of the two vineyard specific Pinots Coyote's Run makes, and also the more assertive. The nose has an intensity to it with dark cherry, black raspberry and earthy notes. The palate is like a 4-year-old child, a bit grabby for attention, showing robust tannins and intense flavours of earth and spice with brooding dark fruit. This one's serious about what it's there to do. Price: $35.95 - Rating: ****
