While all the Le Clos wines have their own expressiveness of the vineyard terroir in which they are grown, two really stood out: "La Petite" is very feminine with perfumed and floral notes ... but for my money it's this more masculine version of Pinot that I prefer, more rugged with a red berry fruit nose (cherry mostly) and sweet herbs that join in on the aroma profile. On the palate there’s plenty of firmness, spicy red cherry and dry stonyness – there’s also in your face tannins that dry your tongue and beg for food to complement its flavours ... of course it would be nothing without a long finish - and yes it has that too.
