What the heck is Richard Karlo up to now ... first he gave us a red port, now he's opening up the gates and introducing us to an under-appreciated style of wine: White Port. Made from Frontenac Blanc (66%) and Gewurztraminer and it seems to be another special wine from the mind of this madman. Apricot, pineapple, mango with some rose petal (obviously from the Gewurztraminer) on the finish. Interesting and fun ... also look for notes of biscotti and a nuttiness on the finish, especially on subsequent sips. Price: 29.00 / 500ml - Rating: ****+
