It's nice to see Ontario wineries taking a risk with little known varieties, but if you're not going to buy them because they are odd, strange or unrecognizable to you, that's the real loss to the consumer. I'm told this one might not see the light of day anymore because it isn't very "popular" and that's too bad, because it's a pleasant summer refresher that'll have guests scratching their head wondering what you have served them. A nose of citrus, melon and mineral is followed on the palate by orange peel, melon rind and a hint of citrus. The finish continues melon-rind-esque as the inner green of honeydew takes over on the tongue from swallow to lengthy finish. Price: $19.95 - Rating: *** 1/2+
