It's nice to see a 2007 Reserve red without the big price tag that seems to go along with the big wine. This Cab spent 22 months in barrel, of which 40% was new oak. The nose is a tad reductive, but a little aeration takes care of that problem, flavour-wise the wine delivers lots of lovely fruit on the mid-palate: black cherry and blueberry with a smoky, spicy finish that really kicks around a while.
