The 2005 edition of this wine won Best White Wine in Canada at the Canadian Wine Awards and a recent tasting proved it was still a deliciously vibrant wine aging well under its screwcapped home. The 2006 edition also has that kind of potential, sweeter and more approachable than its Nadja’s counterpart, with a smoother finish. A sweet peach and apple smell, while in the mouth, it ramps up the sweetness ratio with fresh pineapple mixing in with the appley-peachiness and just a hint of petrol finds its way in as well. This is a “quaffing” Riesling … you’ll still sip it, but at a quicker pace than the tarter Nadja Riesling, ‘cuz this one goes down oh-so smooth and easy.
