I think Vidal gets a bad rap as too-simple for table wine, people are either expecting too sweet or want more complexity - meanwhile, when it come to Vidal simplicity is best: golden delicious and peach smells are followed by a peach/pear palate with nice balanced sweetness to keep it all interesting.
