Sure you've seen white blends made from Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris before, but none have ever promised divinity ... Was it chosen by the pontiff himself? Will it be sold at the vatican? Will your local place of worship be replacing the sacramental wine with it? If they like a fresh and zesty wine they will. Nose is mineral, apple and rosy (what you'd expect from these grapes); palate follows with a touch of apricot, while on the finish it's crisp and refreshing. When it comes to divinity I usually end up on the other side of the coin. So is this heavenly? Maybe not, but it is damn good. Price: $19.95 - Rating: ****
