This kitchen sink blend of Barbera (30%), Sangiovese (49%), Merlot (10%), Cabernet Sauvignon (5%), Syrah (3%), and Cabernet Franc (3%) may seem haphazardly put together but some real thought must have gone into it because it turned out so good. Think of it as a bastardized Italian blend, comprising 79% of Italian varieties, with lots of red berry and floral: raspberry, black cherry, blackberry, cassis, violets and well-structured acidity on the finish … it’s an interesting blend with even more interesting (and delicious) results.
