The Chateau is back on track with this usually stellar Rosé Brut; of the 6 vintages I’ve reviewed all but one was over 4 stars with one 4.5 and another 5. A couple of misstep vintages (in my opinion) 2012 and 2013, and we’re back where we belong with this 50/50 - Pinot/Chardonnay with Pinot Noir giving it colour by way of the dosage. Raspberry and lime zest take charge with hints of brioche backing it up – there are some nice red berries mid-palate and good acidity on the finish giving it freshness, that also helps it linger to a strong medium length, if not longer.
