This Big Bat is a club made of Cabernet (Sauvignon) aged 18 months in new French oak barrels … when first opened it shows off a little VA (volatile acidity) but it seems to blow off. Then comes in the big ballsy blackness of the wine: peppery, robust, concentrated fruit. It shows promise, but will you wait.  Rating: *** ½+
