As with most reds at Queylus, outside their Pinot Noirs, there is an element of some other grape in the wine … this Cabernet Franc has 11% Merlot to round it out, it also spent 18 months in French oak … I really loved the ballsiness of this Franc with its black cherry and cassis up front, smoky-roasted capsicum notes along with the vanilla, cinnamon and mineral complexity and a killer long finish.
