A blend that Cabernet Sauvignon dominated (45%) with Merlot (26%), 21% Cabernet Franc, and 4% each of Malbec and Petit Verdot that spends 14-16 months in 40-45% new French oak. 2015 ’15 was the hottest vintage (so far) on record in Washington State so there’s lots of ripe, rich fruit here and that comes through in the wine: smoky, spicy, tobacco with chocolate, cherry and mocha note as well; there’s even some vanilla on the back end.
