Closson Chase has been doing Pinot justice since they opened their doors, and under “new” head winemaker Keith Tyers they are doing an even better job: red cherry with hints of pink plum, plus raspberry and strawberry fruit that really shows this wine off as a fruit forward treat; they get away with a little sweetness to that fruit, but also a delicacy and depth – the finish ends with plenty of mineral, earthy and even a faint touch of vanilla for good measure but also with well-balanced acidity.
