Grapes from this property that don’t quite make the grade for the Brunellos or single site wine make it into this bottling – but the value under the cork is what makes this wine worthwhile. Soft and round with supple fruit on the tongue, red and dark berries join licorice and spice with good acid punch – purely a food-centric wine made from 100% Sangiovese … the cran-cherry-balsamic note on the finish gives that away ... think of this as your gateway to Brunello.
