Continues to be one of the brilliant lights in the plethora of Sauvignon Blanc coming from New Zealand. But while many come from Marlborough this one gets its fruit from just a titch north in Nelson … here the fruit seems to get a little more ripe and, being closer to the ocean, a little more minerality / saline in quality … Lime and grapefruit still dominates with hints of grassiness, but there’s also a lot of lovely tropical fruit and apricot that slips in adding another dimension …a true summer delight – it looks like this Left Field will be our house Savvy B for the 3rd year in a row.
