I'll admit to not being very impressed by most of the Chardonnays I tried from Washington, maybe I just think of the region as more of a red wine producing place, but if they can all be made like this Cold Creek version, I'm all in. Lovely fruit to spice ratio, great use of oak so that it does not interfere with the fruit, well-balanced with vanilla and butterscotch intermingling with peach and apple, and then there’s the nice long finish. I was very happy with this one. Rating: ****
