A blend of 62% Marsanne and 38% Viognier, and while Red Mountain is primarily a red grape growing area this oddball white makes up 1% of what is grown there. Aged in neutral barrels so that the fruit and its characteristics are allowed to shine: oily and spicy with melon, orange blossom and beautifully balanced acidity. It's a wine that is at the same time pretty yet powerful. Rating: ****
