This wine spent 12-month in older French and American oak barrels and is from the weird and wild 2017 vintage – and it really shows an adept hand with Cabernet Franc by the winemaker ... In fact, it's pretty much what I expected from Cabernet Franc and Kacaba. Lots of dark fruit: black cherry, black raspberry, blackberry and even some cassis shows up in the fruit department. There's also mocha, smoke, tobacco and some dark cocoa backing it all up ... Good tannins and well balanced; it's a beauty Cab Franc and you need to put your hands on it in quantity.
