The excitement here is the mix of the creamy mid-palate and a finish that cranks up the acidity clearing the whole thing up and readying one for the next sip. Mac apple and peach cobbler inter-play in the mouth with pineapple and even a hint of coconut (usually a characteristic found in wine's aged in Canadian oak). This is one of the better and balanced Speck Family Reserve Chardonnay's in quite some time.  Price: $29.95 - Rating: ****+
