Cleaning up the mess of the previous regime’s take on the Pinot Noir took a lot of work ... Removing the dirty notes that almost brought a “funk” to these wines that at times was really hard to get around. Winemaker Keith Tyers fixed that, so now the earthy is the proper amount of dirty, but there’s also a lovely floral (violet), strawberry - raspberry, sour cherry, mineral and hint of pepper which appears on the palate, framing the earthiness, not hanging its proverbial hat in the pig pen. Kudos to Keith ... Good job once again. Price: $42.00 – Rating: ****
