After my trek through New Zealand I spent a week doing some of the cool climate sub-regions of Australia's New South Wales: Southern Highlands, Orange, Canberra and the Hunter Valley. There I met some amazing people making wonderful wines who were happy not to have to explain what cool climate wine making was all about - they know that we Canadians get it.
