The Opener ...
With the hype around Pieve this year, it felt like Nobile took a backseat. Some big-name producers took the year off because they were not ready with their Pieve offering, and so the show ran with the wines they had.
There still seemed to be enough, with 54 wines hitting the bottom of the glass: Annatas, Riservas, and back vintages. Top wine was made by Boscarelli, with whom I did a podcast interview, along with principals from Poliziano. So there's some great listening out there, or coming, depending when you're reading this.
Boscarelli had two of the top four wines, while Icario and Lunadoro took the other two spots. The rest you can read below.

Boscarelli 2021 Riserva - Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (Sangiovese)
Bright and lively with good tannin structure, bright fruit, good acidity - this bottle pops and slams at the same time.

Boscarelli 2022 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (Sangiovese)
Sour fruits with some good acidity, delicate tannin structure, and a medium length finish.
Icario 2019 "Sansasia" (Sangiovese)
There is a robustness to this wine with a healthy dose of dark fruit and spice backed by acidity and anise.
Lunadoro 2021 "Quercione" - Riserva - Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (Sangiovese)
Dark fruit oriented, slight oxidation, but it helps in this case.
