Pirramimma 2011 Stock's Hill GSM (Australia)

19 May 2015

(February 8, 2015) ... This was a bottle on sale at the local monopoly retailer, if you have not heard that is our antiquated system here in Ontario ... Anyway this GSM stands for Grenache / Shiraz / Mataro, which is just a more interesting way to say Mourvedre.  The nose has a lovely raspberry, plum, cherry, and white pepperiness to it while the palate is full of spiced-plum, black cherry, and white pepper.  The whole thing was a nice fruit-driven wine that had a somewhat creamy texture.  Pleasant.
