What's this All About ...
Today I want to look at the best wines I tasted at Cuvee, held March 23, 2019 - first time this event has been held on a Saturday, and boy did that feel weird. This list is by no means a comprehensive list of all the wines I tried that evening - nor does it include wines I previously tasted at other events or at wineries, and yes there was plenty of overlap - these are strictly the wines that were new to me and really impressed.
Cuvee is a very special night for the Ontario wine industry, where winemakers and principals dress-up 'to the nines' and show off what they believe to be their best / favourite bottles. It is also a time to parade our something new or something you want to promote - so while it is touted as being "Ontario's best" there are still some wineries who are holding back, and see it as merely a marketing opportunity instead of a showcase of their best.
That all said here are my top 6 selections ...
