(June 2018) … Burgundy produces 183 million bottles per annum (approximately) of that one of every 2 bottles is exported, Chablis makes up 31% of those exports and Canada is Burgundy’s fourth biggest market.

Burgundy is broken down into 5 main regions: Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune, Cote Chalonnaise, Maconnais, Chablis & Grand Auxerrois / Chatillonnais; and there are three main sub-divisions of the wines produced: Grand Cru AOC, which makes up 1.5% of all wines produced; Village and Village Premier Cru AOC, making up another 37% of production; and finally Regionale AOC.
