(October 10, 2016) ... From a high acid year I half expect this wine to age well, the other half of me thinks maybe it's just a bit too old ... but it was the former notion that won out here: aromas of tropical fruit and buttery-apple, there are also typical Riesling notes and great acidity prevails on the long finish where you'll find some grapefruit, peach and delicious apple. For a blended white at seven years of age this was a pretty good wine, I would have expected it to be half-dead but it was so very much alive, and very tasty.

(October 8, 2017) ... Here's an 8 year old treat from Lailey ... 7 or 8 years seems to be my limit for old Chardonnay and here we're just at that edge. The nose is a beautiful display of toasted coconut, banana skin, and buttery notes - the palate is just as exciting with some hazelnut cream, dried apple, coconut, and peach soda ... if you have any in the cellar I think it's time to drink up while it still has that "pleasantness" about it ... and as an aside, the acidity is still lovely and gives what might sound like something sweet balance.
