Just because I started a website called OntarioWineReview.com doesn't mean it's All-Ontario-All-the-Time. When I kick back at night my mood (and sometimes my curiosity) decides my wine of choice. And the title should read, "Uncorked and Un-Screwed Tonight" ... but that just sounds wrong.

Artesa Tempranillo

 

(March 3, 2017) ... A Tempranillo from California was just too weird to pass up when I bought it, and now, so many years later, I opened the bottle. I know that had this been Spanish in origin I would have no worries, but I did open this bottle with some trepidation: dried blackberry, vanilla and licorice with dried plum (some would call it prune) and cassis - not what I expected, but certainly better.

(March 1, 2017) ... Such a delicious wine does not need a lot of notes, it needs to be enjoyed, so here is the review short and sweet: great dark cherry fruit with a touch of white pepper ... now I'm going to sit down, relax and enjoy.
